AMC Group Launches National GP Practice Acquisition Platform

Australian Medical Care Group (AMC) has formally launched its national platform for acquiring and integrating general practices across Australia. The platform offers practice owners a structured succession pathway — one that prioritises clinical independence, staff continuity, and patient care above all else.
"We've spent the last two years building the infrastructure, the advisory relationships, and the operational systems needed to do this properly," said Kellie Pavelic, Founding Director. "We're not interested in strip-and-flip acquisitions. We're building a network that GPs can trust with their life's work."
A Different Approach to Acquisition
Unlike private equity-backed aggregators, AMC's model preserves the identity of every practice it acquires. Practice names stay. Staff stay. Clinical systems remain in place. AMC takes over the operational burden — HR, compliance, procurement, IT, accreditation — so GPs can focus entirely on patient care.
Every valuation is conducted independently by William Buck. Legal documentation is prepared by Cornwalls and King & Wood Mallesons. Advisory and due diligence is handled by Deloitte. These independent firms work for both parties, ensuring transparency at every stage.
Integrated Care at the Core
Central to AMC's strategy is the integration of mental health services directly within general practices. Co-located psychologists, counsellors, and allied health professionals enable warm handovers, unified patient records, and coordinated care — addressing a gap that has long plagued Australian primary healthcare.
For practice owners considering succession, AMC offers a confidential initial consultation with no obligation. Learn more on our Sell Your Practice page.
