About AMC Group

Australian-founded. Australian-led. Building a national network of integrated healthcare practices where mind and body are treated as one.

Our Story

Australian-Founded.
Australian-Led.

Australian Medical Care Group (AMC) is a healthcare platform focused on acquiring and integrating general practices across Australia. We were established to address the critical challenges facing primary care today: an ageing GP workforce, rising operational complexity, and a growing demand for integrated physical and mental health services.

Our approach is built on the belief that practice succession should preserve what matters most — continuity of care for patients, clinical autonomy for doctors, and stability for staff. When a practice joins the AMC network, the name stays, the team stays, and the clinical relationships that took decades to build remain intact.

We take over the operational burden — HR, compliance, procurement, IT, accreditation — so GPs can focus entirely on patient care. Your existing systems stay in place. If you're running Best Practice or Medical Director, nothing changes for your clinicians.

AMC operates under the AIHC Group umbrella, with independent oversight from some of Australia's most respected professional services firms. Every valuation is conducted independently by William Buck. Legal documentation is prepared by Cornwalls and King & Wood Mallesons. Advisory and due diligence by Deloitte. These are independent firms working for both parties — not our in-house team marking their own homework.

Our Mission

To build a network where every Australian has access to holistic, patient-centred care.

Comprehensive healthcare delivered to communities throughout Australia. We're building a national network of integrated practices where GPs, psychologists, and allied health professionals work under one roof — coordinated, accessible, and focused on the whole patient.

Our Vision

Mind and body treated as one.

To transform Australian primary healthcare by embedding mental health services directly into general practice. We envision a future where every GP clinic has co-located psychologists and allied health professionals, where Better Access referrals result in same-day warm handovers, and where no patient falls through the cracks between physical and mental health care.

Integrated Care

Healthy Mind.
Healthy Body.

Mental health is not separate from healthcare — it is healthcare. Yet across Australia, GPs write Mental Health Care Plans and refer patients to external psychologists with three-week wait times, fragmented notes, and no feedback loop. The system treats mind and body as separate problems. We don't.

AMC co-locates psychologists, counsellors, and allied health professionals directly within general practices. Same building. Warm handovers. Shared clinical records. Better Access referral pathways that work as they were intended — with the patient walking down the hall, not across town. This is the integrated care model that Australian primary healthcare has needed for decades.
